For all the MOL Fitness Challenge participants, please reply to this topic once you've taken your measurements.  You DON'T NEED TO POST YOUR MEASUREMENTS.  (Lordy, I'd never ask myself or another lady to do THAT.)  But you need a baseline to tell us how much you've lost over time.

Measure the following:

  • Your weight in lbs

Your inches around:

  • Upper arm at largest diameter
  • Chest at largest diameter
  • Waist
  • Hips at largest diameter
  • Inner thigh at largest diameter
  • Calf at largest diameter

If you have any questions, email rebekah@momsoutloud.com.

Remember:  What gets measured gets done.  Let's go, ladies!!!

All measured ... That was depressing ;) But, it'll be worth it when I get to see how much I've lost :) Thanks for setting this up!

Wow. That was... instructive. :D  But it's done!

Any older moms on here, trying to become smaller and healthier? I'm 40 and I'm usually the "senior member" of any preschool-mom corps. ;)

Done.

To JulieB - I'm turning 39 in two months and have a 5 year old, so I guess I qualify for the older moms trying to get smaller and healthier group.

Anyone live in/near Lake Highlands?

Re: Week 0 - Post AFTER you've taken your first measurements

Hi Julie,

I am 37 and a mother of a senior in high school about to head off to the University of Arkansas and one in middle school and my last one in 4th grade.  I am doing this for my health too!  I have fibromyalgia, and any over-weight on me causes me to be in more pain.  My goal is 30 pounds right now.

So, here is an older mom too!  Never thought I would end up classifying myself as that - but I would trade it!  Not too much in common with the pre-schooler moms you mentioned.
